We've spent the last couple of days in Singapore exploring the animal attractions in the area.
Being the 'crazy bird lady' there was no way I could leave without visiting the world's largest bird park - the Jurong Bird Park. They have an ENORMOUS Lory aviary and I was certainly missing home when I had three Lories crawling on me to get at the little food cup (Sammy - our red bird - is a Red Lory).
Sunday we were off to the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari. The zoo is a truly impressive place clearly dedicated to the animals and providing a great experience.
The night safari is a different beast - you ride a tram through the park and in many places the animals are grazing right along the tram with no barriers between you and them (happily the carnivores WERE a bit further away). There will be a zillion pictures over in the album shortly....
